Isaac Mathews

Dusty oil fields and 18 wheel trucks are the farthest things from most musicians's mind but if you ask Isaac Mathews what he was doing just before he moved to Nashville, TN, that's just it! Music has always been a huge part of this Native Oklahoma boy's life, when at the age of three he got that little toy piano on to his 16th birthday with that pawnshop guitar. This musicians Nashville dream was never far behind! He started making trips out to Nashville to check out the scene at the age of 20, only to find the best singers/songwriters/musicians in the world call Nashville home. Still a determined musician, he stayed in Oklahoma working his craft and building a family. Even he has admitted the dream would try to fade in the hustle of family life and a 80 hr work weeks.

Finally, while still young enough in the music industry world, Isaac packed his bags and family in a rental van and headed East. Once in Nashville, he spent the next year working a 70 hr work week hauling fuel and participating in as many writers night as possible. Realizing the demands of this job would not further his musical career, he built a plan to get his music off the ground. Running on nothing more than a prayer and family support, he quit his job and started playing music full time. Since this change, life couldn't be better! In a very short time, he has earned much respect and many opportunities from many Nashville Artists and Songwriters. He has played at numerous tourist locations such as The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge and multiple locals only bars like Losers (owned by George Straits Manager Irv Woosley). I guess you can say that this small town Indian boy has come a long, long way since this dream began but what sets him apart is that he understands he still has a long way to go and embraces the journey. 2010 is only looking better with the forming of a great band and gigs at venues such as the Namm Show, Cadillac Ranch, and Fan Fair things are definitely moving forward!
